What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of 3 to 12 individuals who meet together regularly to encourage and to care for one another in the love of Christ. Life Groups at Cross Keys are the best way to connect with others in your age group, geographical region or present stage of life, and they can play an important role in your spiritual growth. They provide a safe, supportive environment where you can build lasting,, meaningful friendships with others while taking the next step in your spiritual journey.
Where and When do Life Groups meet?
Groups meet bimonthly usually in the homes of participating members, though some groups may get together at the Church. Groups meet in the evenings at a time agreed upon by the group.
What happens in a typical Life Group meeting?
The primary components of a meeting generally include: Prayer, Bible study and discussion, Fellowship and, of course, food! Groups may also include a time of Worship. The group study component involves a practical Bible study using a lesson guide or a DVD series followed by an important time of interaction and discussion where all who desire can participate. Group members are also encouraged to invite family members, friends and neighbors.
Are children involved in Life Groups?
Yes! Children are very welcome in life groups at Cross Keys, though some groups do not have children due to their specific life stage characteristics. Each group with children determines what role the children will play in their fellowship and what activities will be provided for them.
How do I get involved?
A booklet of Life Groups currently available through the Church is available at the
Information Desk. Additional groups will be starting throughout the year. If you would like to be contacted by someone about Life Groups at Cross Keys, please check the “Life Groups” box on the orange response card in the Sanctuary.
